Is there a correct position for the shoulder?
When it comes to the body, there is no one right position! You might have heard trainers, physical therapists or others cue shoulder position “back and down”. In these world’s this is often thought of as the right position of the shoulder for movement. In this episode we demonstrate that the reality is more complex. But you can demonstrate this to yourself right now. Pretend to through a ball. Now, set your shoulder back and down and throw a ball while keeping it set in that position. Which felt better?
