Bioretention surface water at inlet
Occasionally you’re going to come across bioretention systems with water ponding around the inlet. It’s a bit of a problem but it’s not the end of the world. It’s a problem because it means that the water isn’t seeping into that part of the media and being treated. The plants that were planted there might not like the newly boggy conditions (think lomandra). This episode explores the causes and a few thoughts about how to manage it.
