Hi bioretention friends,
Today we’re looking at another type of bioretention system. Specifically, the large bioretention system. I find this category of bioretention really useful to delineate for both design and maintenance purposes. When you get to large bioretention systems there is a fair bit more to do in design, there are consequences for maintenance and ultimately some risks that need to be managed (if you’re going to go large at all…).
In this video you will see two large bioretention systems. One designed by the book, and another less so. In this case both are doing ok, but I tend to think the later system has some risks. It’s holding in there though so perhaps I’m wrong.
